Happy Monday!
We had an amazing first day at The Speech Garden Summer Camp. We are learning the routines of the day and getting used to our new environment.
The theme of today is Things that Go...Cars
Today we read "Go, Dog, Go"!
During the book, we worked on our attentive skills and imitating sounds.
During circle time, we said the ABC's, counted to twenty, and practiced answering questions like "what is your favorite color?" using our individual modes of communication such as pointing or words.
For art today, we worked on matching colors by creating a traffic light gluing the right color tissue paper into each circle and improving our fine motor skills.
We all played with lego blocks together to practice social skills, sharing, and building!
For technology based learning, we identified and named different types of transportation.
Lastly, we ended the day with working on our fine motor skills using play dough. We rolled cars through the play dough to make tracks and made cutouts of different vehicles.
Today was such an exciting day and can't wait for more! See you tomorrow for 'Things that Go....Construction!
